Fields Corner Public Art Project Community Meeting | May 7

On Wednesday, May 7 the Fields Corner “Freedom” Public Art Project will host a Community Meeting. This meeting will take place at the Vietnamese American Community Center located at 42 Charles Street from 6:30-8 pm. Viet-AID has received a planning grant from the Edward ingersoll Browne Fund, a public charitable trust administered by the City of Boston, to select an artist for a public art project on Town Field in Fields Corner. Join Viet-AID for a discussion about the project’s goals and hear updates on the artist selection process, budget, and schedule. Fields Corner Neighborhood Cleanup | May 3

On Saturday, May 3 join Boston Shines for a Fields Corner neighborhood clean up. This event is for Boston’s annual Spring Clean up and will take place from 9-11:30 am. Those that wish to volunteer should meet at 9:00 am at ADSL’s Field House on Town Field Park, 1565 Dorchester Avenue or at the Vietnamese American Community Center located at 42 Charles Street. After the cleanup be sure to join Boston Shines at 11:30 for a cookout. Help get the the Fields Corner neighborhood ready for spring! To register, or for more information call 617-822-3717 x10. Fields Corner Neighborhood Advisory Council | April 28

St. Mark's Parish

On Monday, April 28 the Fields Corner Neighborhood Advisory Council meeting will take place. This meeting will take place at St. Marks School Hall located at 1725 Dorchester Avenue beginning at 6:30 pm. The 7 civic groups that share the boundaries of Fields Corner will share more about their association. The seven associations that will be present are Clam Point Neighborhood Association, Fields Corner Civic Association, Five Streets Neighborhood Association, Freeport Adams Neighborhood Association, Meeting House Hill Neighborhood Association, Melville Park Association, and St. Marks Area Civic Association. This meeting hopes to bring voices together to make changes in the community and get attention to those who can help make a difference. Please join Fields Corner Children Thrive at the next School Readiness Roundtable! Help plan an integrated education for your children, students, clients and community. The Roundtable will take place on Thursday, November 14 from 12 to 2:30 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club of Dorchester, 1135 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester, MA 02125. Lunch and childcare will be provided! Gift cards will be raffled off to parent and grandparent participants. FCCT members will get 5 points for attending.

Monday, September 30th at 6:30pm. The Fields Corner Community Action  Network will hold their FIRST Fields Corner Neighborhood Council Meeting. The meeting will take place at St. Ambrose Family Shelter on 25 Leonard Street in Dorcherster, MA 02122 (entrance will be on Dickens Street). The meeting is open to public.
