Lower Mills BPL: Story Time with the Boston Ballet | February 14, 2017

Children and families are welcomed once a month to hear stories about a famous ballet or a dancer. The story time is also supplemented with a  movement experience that highlights major themes of the story. All story times are led by Boston Ballet faculty dance educators. This program is for children ages 2 and up. Younger children will need parental supervision.

Hank Phillippi Ryan is the on-air investigative reporter for Boston's NBC affiliate, winning 33 Emmys and dozens more journalism honors. The bestselling author of eight mysteries, Ryan's also an award winner in her second profession—now with five Agathas, two Anthonys, two Macavitys, the Daphne, and Mary Higgins Clark Award. Her Truth Be Told won the 2015 Agatha, and she edited the 2015 Agatha-winning non-fiction Writes of Passage. Critics call her “a superb and gifted story-teller.” A founder of MWA University, Hank was 2013 president of Sisters in Crime. Calling all 2 – 6 year-olds. Have fun celebrating winter with Jeannie Mack. Come sing and act out songs about making snowmen, twirling around like snowflakes, sledding down hills, and drinking hot chocolate - to mention just a few. Clap along, dance, and enjoy hand play and finger play games with Jeannie – all to do with the magic of winter.

Dinner and Open Mic | Dec 11

Dot 2 Dot Cafe  will are hosting an Open Mic in collaboration with the Boston Music School of Arts (located in Lower Mills).  Come and join for dinner, drinks and live entertainment from local musicians and students of the school.  
They will be offering flatbread pizzas, beef chilli with crusty garlic bread, winter vegetable soup, and a special grilled cheese sandwich (Welsh Rarebit) with salad.  A range of desserts will also be available.
