Who's Tracking You Online? | December 2

Monday December 2 at 6:30pm the Lower Mills Library (27 Richmond Street) will have a program discussing online tracking.

Every mouse click, every keystroke, and every tablet or smart phone selection that we make helps data collectors paint a picture about who we are.

During this interactive presentation, Greg Page will talk about the positive, negative, and uncertain implications of the era of Big Data.  He will also discuss ways that individual web users can minimize their online footprint.

2nd Annual Victorian Egg Hunt | April 21

The Boston Public Library Lower Mills Branch is partnering with Forbes History Museum for the 2nd Annual Victorian Egg Hunt on April 21, 2012 at 1pm. Children ages 3- 8 are welcome. Hundreds of eggs (each containing a toy surprise) will be hidden on the east and west lawns of the Museum. Each child will receive a handle basket to gather eggs which will contain gifts before the hunt begins.

The Hunt will start promptly at 1pm. Prizes will be given to the best egg hunters. Snacks and refreshments will be served.

At 2pm, the BPL Lower Mills Branch will sponsor a story hour on the Forbes House porch. Angela Bonds, Children's Librarian, will read a selection of children’s favorite spring time stories. Admission is $8 per child. Rain date is Sunday, 22 April 2012 from 1-3pm. >> Read More

Two great events at Lower Mills Branch Library make Monday, August 8, a blast for families with kids! At 3 p.m., you can enjoy "One World, Many Stories: Storytime & Craft w/ The Pierce House" as part of the Boston Public Library's Summer Reading program. Show up at 6 p.m. for Lower Mills's Monday Night Movie - this time, the film will be "Gnomeo & Juliet."

Celebrate African Dance at Lower Mills Library, Apr. 5

Let rhythm from a warm place get this April moving! Celebrate African Dance with special guest Wyoma at the Lower Mills Branch Library this Tuesday, April 5 at 10:30 a.m. This event occurs as part of the normally scheduled Preschool Storytime and is intended for children and families (but all are welcome.)
