Columbia-Savin Hill Meeting | April 2

The April 2nd Columbia-Savin Hill Civic Association meeting was held at Cristo Rey School on Savin Hill Ave, located very close to the Savin Hill T-station. The meeting had a large attendance of around 40 people. The meeting began with safety reports from Officer Keaney,. Philip DiSalvio, the dean of UMass Boston's University College spoke about the school's programs. UMass Boston has become a model for urban public education. Special Meeting on Public Safety (Savin Hill), May 17

The Columbia Savin Hill Civic Association will hold a special community meeting on Tuesday, May 17th at 6:30 p.m. at Cristo Rey School, 100 Savin Hill Avenue. The purpose of the meeting is to update the community on the events of the recent homicide at the Savin Hill MBTA Station. The community will also learn about the best means for working with city agencies and public safety officials on "problem properties" and/or absentee landlords who are not managing their properties well in our neighborhood. Representatives from the Boston Police Department, Transit Police, Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services, and Inspectional Services, the agencies involved with managing housing vouchers, and Senator Jack Hart, Representative Martin Walsh and City Councilor Maureen Feeney are planned to attend.

Columbia Savin Hill Civic Association Plant & Bake Sale, May 21

Savin HillColumbia Savin Hill Civic Association will hold their annual plant and bake sale on Saturday, May 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Come to the front yard of Cristo Rey School, 100 Savin Hill Avenue, Dorchester (corner of Tuttle and Savin Hill Ave) for greenery and delectable treats! Rain date: Sunday, May 22.
