The Columbia Savin Hill Civic Association will hold a special community meeting on Tuesday, May 17th at 6:30 p.m. at Cristo Rey School, 100 Savin Hill Avenue. The purpose of the meeting is to update the community on the events of the recent homicide at the Savin Hill MBTA Station. The community will also learn about the best means for working with city agencies and public safety officials on "problem properties" and/or absentee landlords who are not managing their properties well in our neighborhood. Representatives from the Boston Police Department, Transit Police, Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services, and Inspectional Services, the agencies involved with managing housing vouchers, and Senator Jack Hart, Representative Martin Walsh and City Councilor Maureen Feeney are planned to attend.
