Mission:

Membership in the Ashmont Hill Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is open to all residents of Ashmont Hill, a neighborhood between Peabody Square and Codman Square. The Ashmont Hill Association provides opportunities for Ashmont Hill residents to get to know each other and discuss and engage in local issues and concerns. All residents receive the monthly newsletter, the Ashmont Outlook, which covers neighborhood events and activities. All neighbors are welcome and encouraged to attend monthly meetings, held in neighbors' homes, and to participate in other AHA activities.

First active in the early 1970s, the Association organizes street cleanups, sponsors a much-anticipated neighborhood-wide yard sale in May, works with other neighborhoods to organize the annual Peabody Square holiday tree lighting, and plans a yearly progressive dinner and other events to bring neighbors together. Through its Neighborhood Improvement Committee, the Association has facilitated the planting of numerous street trees, created two landscaped sidewalk extensions, and received a grant from the Boston Parks Department to design and landscape a community open space at the Codman Square branch library.
