On the 50th anniversary of its release and during the election year of 2012, the political and psychological thriller "The Manchurian Candidate" still resonates with contemporary audiences. The Modern Theatre at Suffolk University, in collaboration with the Boston Preservation Alliance, will screen this 1962 classic film, adapted from Richard Condon’s novel by George Axelrod, directed by John Frankenheimer, featuring Frank Sinatra, Laurence Harvey, Janet Leigh, and Angela Lansbury.

Following the screening, a discussion of the film will be hosted by Bob Allison, Chair of Suffolk’s History department, and Boston political communication consultant Michael Goldman.
